- Make available an on-site after-school program for the benefit of students and parents of a school.
- Provide low-income students who are not receiving other financial assistance an opportunity to attend an after-school program.
- Contract with agencies/programs/individuals to provide specific enrichment services for after-school programs.
- Provide after-school programs that allow students, parents, community resources, and staff to participate in the total program.
- Monitor for quality programming and compliance to the standards.
- Provide after-school programs that include, but are not limited to, constructive recreation, academic enrichment, and personal development.

The purpose of 21st CCLC grants
- To provide opportunities for academic enrichment and tutorial services to help students, particularly students who attend high-poverty and low-performing schools, to meet state and local performance standards in core academic subjects;
- To offer students a broad array of additional services, programs, and activities to reinforce and complement the regular academic program of participating students.
- To offer families of 21st CCLC students’ opportunities for literacy and related educational development.
Eastside Elementary of Cairo, Georgia
Students who attend Eastside Elementary School who are in grades Pre K – 5th may be enrolled into the program. Afterschool 85 students & Summer only 55 students.
