ParentChild+

At TCRC, we believe that parents are a child’s first and most important teacher. Our Parent Child+ (PC+) Program is designed to strengthen the parent-child bond while preparing young children for lifelong success in school and beyond.

Program Overview

“My child really looks forward to the home visitor coming every week. This is a great program.”

-Mrs. Oneal

What is the Parent-Child Home Program?

Parent Child+ is a nationally recognized, evidence-based early learning program that supports families with children ages 16 months to 4 years old. The program focuses on building early literacy, language, and social-emotional skills right at home.

TCRC is proud to be the only licensed Parent Child+ program in the state of Georgia, providing families in our community with access to this impactful model.

How does the Parent-Child Home Program work?

Families enrolled in Parent Child+ receive:

  • Twice-weekly home or virtual visits from a trained Early Learning Specialist
  • Books and educational toys to keep and build a home library
  • Guided activities that promote reading, conversation, and play-based learning
  • Support and coaching for parents to feel confident in their role as their child’s first teacher

Each visit models simple, fun, and meaningful ways to turn everyday moments into learning opportunities.

BENEFITS OF EARLY READING

The early years are critical in a child’s development. By investing in families during this time, Parent Child+ helps close opportunity gaps and ensures children enter school ready to learn, grow, and thrive.

The program is designed for families with young children who want to:

  • Strengthen their child’s early learning skills
  • Build a positive learning environment at home
  • Receive support, resources, and encouragement
